Black Oaks Youth Soccer Club Declared Non-Profit Public Charity

SANTA ROSA, Calif. – The Black Oaks Youth Soccer Club of Santa Rosa, California announced it has been granted Non-Profit Status, receiving a declaration letter dated February 24 from the Internal Revenue Service stating the club is a Non-Profit public charity under section 501(c)3.

At its first annual meeting, the Black Oaks Youth Soccer Club announced it has received non-profit status as a public charity under IRS section 501(c)3.

The announcement took place at the inaugural Annual General Meeting for the Black Oaks Youth Soccer Club. Over 40 people attended the meeting, including players, parents, coaches and board members. Acting President Alex Campbell made the announcement, recognizing the hard work performed by the club’s founding board of directors since 2013, including Francisco Vallejo, Maria Valencia, Gustavo Valencia and Hilda Gomez. Campbell spoke about the club’s core philosophies of teamwork, sportsmanship and community, praising the spirit of many coaches, parents, family members and volunteers “giving back to soccer.” He added that non-profit status will help the Club meet its goals of offering an affordable alternative so more youth in Santa Rosa can play competitive year-round soccer.
