Congratulations to the U9 Boys SR Black Oaks for taking home the first place trophy from the Puma Seawolf Cup Six-A-Side Silver and Bronze – Boys soccer tournament July 20 at Sonoma State University.
The Oaks won in impressive fashion, coming from behind to beat Taihuichi FC. The Oaks vindicated an earlier loss to the same Taihuichi squad. It was a good day for the Oaks against their cross-town rivals. The U9 Black Oaks Arsenal came from behind to tie Taihuichi’s Bronze level team.
Also congratulations to the U14 Black Oaks who placed second.
One of the Moms from the club, Registered Nurse Naomi St. Marie Campbell, even rendered aid to an overworked referee suffering from heat exhaustion/dehydration, earning a big thanks and a t-shirt from tournament organizers.
All-in-all a good showing for the Black Oaks in a popular tournament that attracts tough competitive teams locally and from throughout the Bay Area.
